Derrick’s technology career spans more than 40 years at e-testing Consultancy, KPMG, BZW Investment Management, Thorn EMI, PSDI, British Telecommunications, AT&T and PA Consulting. Derrick also is Chairman of Help A Poor Child, an international charity he founded in 1980 to help children. Global locations include the U.S.A., India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada and in 2012, Gambia.
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Jonathan has a passion for software testing, honed over many years of experience in financial services, information technology, legal services, logistics, media and telecommunications, for companies including KPMG, T-Mobile, Tibbett & Britten Group and Schroders. He has a BSc in Transport and Business Management from Aston University.
Malcolm has more than 27 years of private and public company accounting, administration and finance experience in broadcasting, executive recruiting and healthcare at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now part of PwC), HIT Entertainment, DLA Worldwide and his own firms. He has a BA in Modern History and Economics and an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University.
Managing Automation Consultant
Despite graduating with a degree in Law, Howard found his natural vocation in IT. He has been providing expertise in test automation for over twelve years, ten of which through e-testing, and hasn’t lost his passion for it: “Automation is really about getting more out of manual testing. We want our testers to use their innate intelligence and curiosity to make sure systems work well which means freeing them up from the drudgery. We can use automation to do that – and get much better coverage in tighter timeframes.”
Cleo joined e-testing in 2016, having previously worked in Marketing at several IT companies and Financial Publishing companies before that. Cleo is responsible for e-testing’s marketing initiatives and communications, covering both the consultancy and training product portfolios. She has a BA in Modern Languages (Spanish and French) from Oxford University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in European Business Management & Information Systems.
Senior Trainer & Consultant
Don has been with e-testing since 2006 and has enjoyed a successful career in IT, which dates back to the late 1960s. He acquired an in-depth understanding of test and review techniques, gaining Foundation and Practitioner certifications with ease. In the UK since 2004, Don has assisted in the rewrite of IEEE 829, and ISO in the formulation of the ISO 25010 and ISO 29119 standards. He regularly advises ISTQB regarding tester certification syllabus issues in the midst of writing all the company’s courses with Rick.
Senior Trainer & Consultant
Steve has held international technical and management positions, working in Consultancies, UK Government, R&D and Manufacturing. He spent 20 years in Telecoms with responsibility for developing software products for major Telcos such as BT, and was Senior Manager with responsibility for Nortel’s European R&D IT infrastructure. Upon completion of teacher training, Steve joined e-testing in 2013. Professionally, he has an Honours degree in computer science and is certified to an advanced level in software testing. Steve is also a Fellow of the BCS.
Roshan graduated from the University of Texas in 1994 with a Masters in Professional Accounting. She later passed her CPA exam in the United States and gained experience working in both Public and Private sector organisations. Throughout her career, Roshan has developed a fine understanding of auditing and financial accounting across various industry sectors.
Brian has 23 years of Quality Assurance experience and has been assisting e-testing since 2004. He attained ISO9001 Lead Assessor qualification in 1995 and membership of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) in 2005. Brian now assists clients with the implementation of organizational quality systems in preparation for ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications.
