  • To have achieved or working towards a professional accountancy qualification


Pre-requisites



  • The candidate must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of accountancy practices

  • Must have experience of VT, MS Office toolset, especially Word, Outlook and Excel

  • The candidate must have had experience working with accounts and understand the basic principles of accountancy and be able to communicate at all levels.


Accountabilities



  • Perform function of purchase ledger clerk, sales ledger clerk including generating invoices and statements

  • Production of financial and statistical reports alongside cash flow statements of the divisions

  • Payroll submission and management accounts preparation including monthly cash flow projections

  • Bank reconciliation’s

  • Preparation of VAT returns

  • Assist Accountant in Corporation Tax, P11Ds and Year End

  • Credit Control

  • Liaising with clients and consultants regarding timesheets and invoicing

  • Depositing of cash

  • Processing payment runs

  • Process employee expense’s

  • Ad hoc cost analysis for departments


Dimensions


This employee must be highly numerate and process driven. They will need to have the ability to follow accounting procedures accurately and keep up to date with current practices. They will need to be efficient and effective in chasing debtors and ensuring creditors and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
