Job Description

Technical Test Analyst required for Test Driven Development project for E-commerce company in the North West, Warrington area.

The work is focussed around Web technologies, candidate must have a significant level of experience in designing test cases for Web based systems. Experience of working in an Agile environment is essential, as well as a working knowledge of Test Driven Development.

Experience of Twist and/or Fitnesse would be an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of HTML, Javascript and CSS. Test automation experience is important, in particular the ability to write automated test cases in Selenium/Web Driver and JUnit.

Knowledge of Web technologies including J2EE and Apache would be of particular interest. You will be proactive, an excellent communicator and will work well in conjunction with developers right throughout the life cycle, from specification of requirements to completion. You should have an excellent understanding of the structure of relational databases, be able to interrogate Oracle databases using PL/SQL and SQL queries. Should be used to formally logging, tracking and reporting defects and be capable of communicating progress at all levels, including project reporting.

Must be able to work on own initiative and be a quick learner in order to rapidly provide a high level of contribution to the testing effort. This is a fully agile project that demands a high degree of skill and hands-on technical testing ability.
