Practitioner in Agile Quality (PAQ)

The Practitioner in Agile Quality (PAQ) course covers key competencies required to function effectively and efficiently, whilst delivering quality. This three-day course is suitable for the whole team, as everyone has an equal responsibility in product quality. The course is based on a practical approach, focused on practical application, experiential and collaborative learning through discussion and exercises. The PAQ course builds on existing testing, software quality management and agile theory inspiring and building confidence through hands-on exercises and experiential learning aligned to the PAQ Competency Framework.

During the course, you will acquire skills that enable you to apply agile testing methods to your projects. The Practitioner in Agile Quality Course places heavy emphasis on practical exercises with a hands-on approach that will enable you to succeed in agile testing.

Please note that this course does not include lunch or refreshments.

Who should attend

  • This course is designed for anyone wanting to improve their agile skills and ensure accelerated quality delivery of working software.
  • Job roles include: Testers, QA Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Team Leaders, Scrum Masters and all other members of an Agile delivery team.

Exam Details

A 2.5 hour theoretical and practical examination will take place on the third day or remotely on a date, time and location to suit the candidate. Delegates whose native or operating business language differs from the exam language are eligible to apply for 25% extra time. Unsuccessful candidates will be required to re-take the assessment in full.

Objectives

  • Successfully create an Agile mindset, providing the candidate can put soft skills, appropriate to the Agile mindset aligned to the Agile manifesto and principles.
  • Ensure faster delivery by implementing efficiencies and effective practices.
  • Improve quality of the product by implementing team activities to ensure quality objectives for each person are met from inception throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support the integration of code through Continuous Testing.
  • Identify additional risks and changes required to effectively scale processes based on team size and/or distribution.
